How to Volunteer
The first step is to apply.
After that, we will contact you with instructions on completing the process. This includes providing us with some signed statements, a police record check including a vulnerable sector check, and undergoing our abuse prevention training. Once you’re approved, we will send you a promo code that you can use to register as a volunteer.
What’s the Cost?
If you wish to stay on-site, we ask that you help to cover your room costs. Doing so enables us to keep our expenses low and our conference rates within reach of what most students can afford. When you register, you will be able to select the number of nights that you wish to stay at a rate of $82.50/night until Nov 30. All volunteers are double-occupancy.
If you are able to provide your own accommodations (eg. staying with a nearby friend or relative) then you can volunteer without cost.
You may opt to raise funds to cover your costs by inviting donors to join you in your ministry opportunity. Since P2C is a charitable organization, donors receive a receipt for income tax purposes. Just like participating on our mission trips, serving God with your skills is contributing to God’s kingdom! Together we can help more students catch a vision for the Great Commission through a great missions conference like P2C+.
Questions and Answers
Do I need to attend the entire conference as a volunteer?
No. Even though it is more helpful to have volunteers who can attend the whole time, you may opt to volunteer for the amount of time you are available. Certain roles will not be available for volunteers who cannot attend the entire conference.
How do I know when I have been selected as a volunteer?
Someone from Power to Change will contact you and inform you of next steps.
Are meals included?
No, meals are not included, you can bring your own meals or choose from a variety of restaurants near the hotel.
If I am not needed to volunteer at a particular time, can I attend workshops/New Years Eve party, etc.?
Yes, as long as you are not needed in a volunteer position at that time.
